[Autumn Foliage Illumination] at Shinshoji Zen Museum and Gardens in 2023
Shinshoji Zen Museum and Gardens is a must-see destination in the Fukuyama area.
While the museum is wonderful to visit during the daytime when it’s bright, at this time of year when the beautiful autumn foliage has begun to turn, it is fantastic at night thanks to special illumination.

Event dates: November 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 23, 25, and 26 (Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays)
Time: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Last admission is at 8:30 p.m.)
Daytime admission closes at 5:00 p.m., and the illuminations start at 6:00 p.m. Re-entry is allowed.
Prices:
800 yen for adults
400 yen for students under 18 years of age
Special Biwa music performances (traditional musical instrument) will be held on the days below:
