Shukkeien Garden is picturesque, landscaped, and offers breathtaking scenes in all seasons. In fall, the crimson-shaded leaves adorning its trees are particularly popular. As night falls, the illuminated foliage creates a fantastical ambiance reflected in a serene pond, presenting a captivating view unique to this season.

The garden will remain open until 9:00 p.m. (last entry at 8:30 p.m.), so you can experience an enchanting nighttime atmosphere throughout the festival. Additionally, Niwa Café (from 11:00 a.m.) will be held on the lawn in front of the art museum. Take a break in this traditional café reminiscent of Edo-period tea houses. You can also be dressed in a kimono without making a reservation (fees apply).

Immerse yourself in the beauty of Shukkeien Garden as it is decorated in fall hues while enjoying a leisurely stroll. While the fall foliage illumination is scheduled from November 23 to December 2, 2023, please note that the event period may change based on weather conditions and foliage status. For the latest information, please visit the official Shukkeien Garden website.
