[Katsurahama Shrine-Kurahashi Island (Kure)]

Katsurahama Shrine stands on a small hill overlooking the pine forests and coasts of Katsurahama Beach. The three Munakata Goddesses of the people living by the sea and the three Usa Hachiman Gods of warlords are enshrined within it.

Its main hall was designed in the sangensha nagarezukuri architectural style with a front room and a thatching roof.
The design of the building is remarkable and has been designated as a National Important Cultural Property.

Natural Hot Spring: Kurakashi Katsurahama Onsen
A stone bath on the first floor features a high ceiling and the spacious ambiance of a Roman bath, while the sea bath on the third floor is a vibrant and expansive bathing area with a tropical atmosphere.
Its in-house restaurant has skilled chefs serving Japanese cuisine made with fresh seafood from the Seto Inland Sea and seasonal ingredients. The result is dishes that burst with delicious flavors.

Kure Bay Ship Tour

Set sail on a cruise and get an up-close view of mighty ships (duration: about 30 minutes)! The evening cruise that departs at sunset is also highly recommended. *(You may want to use an extension to translate pages in Japanese.)

Anne

Konnichiwa! My name is Anne.
I live in a port town called Kure City, 40 minutes by car from Hiroshima City.
We have many beautiful islands. There is an abundance of seafood and fruits.
The place is surrounded by sea and mountains. You can experience walking on narrow streets, hiking on mountains and even climbing stairs.
Strolling around the town is also enjoyable.
You will surely find your own Seto Inland Sea trip here!
