[2-Day Event: Dec. 16–17] Japanese Sake Brewery Festival
Okayama Prefecture is known for fruity Japanese sake made from delicate Omachi rice. There are several breweries that make sake that I love, but my favorite is Kamikokoro Brewery, which is located in the small oyster and fishing town of Yorishima. The sake produced at this brewery has a sweet, fruity taste that goes well with seafood, cheese, oden, and much more.
This sake festival celebrates the winter-release, limited products. Guests will be able to sample various cocktails made with sake at the sake bar, buy bottles to drink there or take home, try sake paired with food items on offer, and purchase Yorishima oysters to take home.
I’ve been to this brewery many times and highly recommend this festival for anyone who’s interested in sampling and buying some great sake to take home for yourself or as a souvenir.

I'm from the U.S.A., but I've lived longer in Okayama. I'm a sake sommelier, certified by the Sake Sommelier Association in London. I love traveling in Japan, beautifully presented food and desserts, great art, taking photos, hiking and walking, visiting gardens, and spending time with family and friends.
