【Special Tour: Mon., Jan. 8】Seven-Temple Tour with Fire-walking Ritual Event! (Onomichi)

Would you like to join us for a tour of seven temples in Onomichi in the New Year?

This Seven-Temple Tour is organized by the Onomichi Tourist Association and offered throughout the year.

There are 25 temples in the town of Onomichi , and you will visit seven of them and be able to collect red temple stamps.

If you visit all seven temples and complete the sheet of goshuin (red temple seals), you will receive a kakejiku (hanging scroll) and an original tenugui (hand towel) specially made for the year 2024! (Offer ends when towels run out.)

It may be difficult to go around to all the temples by yourself, but don’t worry- this time, you will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide (it’s me!).

Also, on this day, a special event called the fire-walking ritual is being held at Seokokuji Temple.
(Please also see this page: [1-Day Event: Mon., Jan. 8] Fire-walking Ritual in Onomichi )
Visitors can participate by making a wish on a gomagi (wooden stick) for a year such as good health, safety in the home, prosperous business, and academic success.
*500 yen per gomagi
*1,500 yen for participation in the fire-walking event (including hachimaki bandana and blessing with a gohei wand for protection)

This day will be a special occasion for you to experience Japanese culture on a very deep level!

I’m looking forward to meeting each of you!
