[1-Day Tour: January 30, 2024] The Best of Okayama Prefecture: Tsuyama

If you’re looking to get off the beaten track, this is the tour for you! Take the special Sakubi Sakura sightseeing train to northern Okayama, and enjoy visiting Tsuyama. This one-day bus tour starts at JR Okayama Station, and guests will enjoy lunch with a view, explore the historic district on their own, and refresh their spirit with Zen meditation at a Buddhist temple.

This tour is reasonably priced and offers discounts for children, so it is great for families, train buffs, and explorers alike. Participants will receive a small gift box of Okayama sweets.

Itinerary details: Meet at JR Okayama Station (10:10 a.m.) > Take the special Sakubi Sakura sightseeing train to JR Tsuyama Station > Take a chartered bus and enjoy lunch with a view at The Hills House Tsuyama restaurant > Take a chartered bus to the Tsuyama Manabi Train Museum, the second largest roundhouse in Japan > Take a chartered bus to the Tojo historic district and explore the town on your own > Take a chartered bus to the Choanzen-ji Temple and experience Zen meditation >> return to Okayama Station by chartered bus (6:40 p.m.)

Meeting place: JR Okayama Station, in front of the 2F ticket gate at 10:10 a.m.

Cost: ¥8,000 for adults / ¥5,000 for children
*Children aged 0–5 are free when accompanied by an adult; limited to one free child per adult.
