Warm Up Your Winter: Nabe Nabe Park Festival at Hiroshima Gate Park
In front of the Atomic Bomb Dome at Hiroshima Gate Park, Nabe Nabe Park Festival will be held from January 26th to 28th!
Nabe refers to a traditional winter hot pot where vegetables, meat, and seafood are simmered in a pot on the dining table, and it is a beloved winter home-cooked meal with diverse hot pot cultures across different regions.
At this festival, 18 shops from regions spanning Aomori in northern Japan to Fukuoka in southern Japan will be participating, offering a variety of slow-cooked dishes such as oden and hot pots available miso, motsu (offal), chanko (sumo), scallop, and Korean flavors. There will also be specialties from Hiroshima, like dote (thick miso) hot pot and botan (wild boar) soup featuring oysters!
