This event is a winter tradition at Kusatsu Port in Hiroshima, known as the Oyster Hut Festival, where Hiroshima people gather to enjoy grilled oysters in their shells. People express their delight with comments about the rich and delicious taste of the oysters, how lively and enjoyable is to experience with friends, and the wonderful atmosphere.

This season, due to factors such as the rise in seawater temperature, the oysters are slightly smaller. Some places have even announced the cancellation of the festival. Kusatsu Port anticipates a delay in oyster growth due to the upcoming cold weather. Despite this, the Oyster Festival is still scheduled for the 18th of February.

Date & Time: from 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 18
Location: Kusatsu Kakigoya (Kusatsu Oyster Hut)
