【1 Day Event -15 Oct】Korean Envoys of Communication Reenactment Procession

My mother’s home island, Shimokamukari Island, has long flourished as a strategic point on the Seto Inland Sea route.

In the Edo period (1603-1867), the island was known as the place where “Korean envoys to Japan” were welcomed as part of a good-neighborly friendship mission.
When the Korean envoys visited this area, the entire island extended grand hospitality to them.
The highlight of the event is a parade of approximately 250 participants in vibrant reenactment costumes!
I am surely planing to visit!
