Join a Special Autum Foliage Viewing, Experience Zazen and Hear Dharma Talks at Buttsuji Temple
Buttsuji Temple was founded in 1397 by Haruhira Kobayakawa, lord of Takayama Castle in Nuta, and is the only major temple of the Rinzai sect west of Kyoto. The sights of this temple’s stunningly beautiful fall foliage are among the best in Japan.
Regular and Extra buses will be available from Mihara and Hongo Stations and in service during the fall-color season.
The area around Buttsuji Temple is extremely congested during this season, so we recommend taking a bus to visit the temple, rather than taking a passenger vehicle. Please take advantage of this service.
Period: November 11 to 23, 2023 *(November 23rd is a national holiday.)
