[Special Event: Experience the Maple Festival at a Japanese garden in Higashi-Hiroshima]
Sankeien is a Japanese garden located in the central forest park next to Hiroshima Airport. The garden is great for a stroll and has a pond inspired by the mountains and valleys of the Seto Inland Sea at its center. Enjoy the autumn foliage and the various flowers that bloom during each season.
Autumn maple leaves are the most beautiful now.

Autumn tea ceremony at Sankeien: November 5, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (700 yen)
Echizen Biwa concert: November 12, 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Kimono experience: November 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17 and 18, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (2,000 yen)
Lucky rice-cake lottery: November 19, 120 winners on a first-come, first-served basis
Yassa dance: November 19, 11:00 a.m. at the front hallway, 2:00 p.m. at the plaza in front of Satono-ike pond (will be canceled in rainy weather)
