Visit the Sword Museum in Okayama
A must-see for sword lovers!
Observe the actual sword-making process by swordsmiths at a workshop in one of Japan’s premier sword production centers: Bizen Osafune Sword Museum, located in Setouchi City, Okayama.
The traditional folding and forging steps of the sword-making process are open to the public.
Witness 1,200 to 1,300-degrees-Celsius steel being pounded with a large hammer and folded in on itself to remove impurities. It is absolutely impressive!
Workshops are opened to the public on the second Sunday of every month.
